Diff-mus vol.2-Them Clones

Before starting this volume of Diff-mus i would like to thank everyone   for their encouraging comments and suggestions on the blog , which has given me the much needed inspiration to continue posting .

Well , in this issue i would like to bring to you something in the language you all are familiar rather than indonesian or japanese (some of them will  kill me if i post an indonesian band again,lol) . This time it’s a band from my own land – India,though india is not famous for producing rock bands but i bet the scenario is going to change real soon and you will know the reason why!

The band in question out here is ‘Them clones’ , they might not be as popular as some other indian bands like ‘prikrama’ or ‘pentagram’ but their music certainly leaves them behind and its just a matter of time before they become as popular . The band has won almost every rock competetion out here in india and some international one’s also.

The vocals are handled by prithwish deb while joseph , gucci singh and deb take care of the guitars and surojit handles the drums. their name is said to be influenced from the track ‘them bones’ by alice in chains.Their primary musical influences are pearl jam , sound garden ,creed ,stone temple pilots , led zep , pink floyd etc.  and ya they do live up to their standards!!

Their one defining song i feel is ‘Zephyretta‘ . It’s a soft rock song with a very subtle, different and delightingly fresh feel to it. It’s one of the best slow songs ive ever heard and as good as any international band while the song ‘Zoopertrip‘ is as good with its totaly different sound.Their other good songs include ‘in the name of god’ , ‘awaken’ , ‘black,white and gray’(their first single), and ‘wait for me’.

Techtonize vol.1-Digsby

Hey guys..I’m back with the first volume of ‘Techtonize’ after yesterdays ‘Diff-mus’. Techtonize will deal with the tech part of the blog and today I’m more than happy to introduce to you ‘Digsby’ which maybe termed nothing less than a killer app.here’s what their site has to say about it:

Trust me each and every word of it is true. it not only integrates all your instant messenger’s but also your social network news feeds(at the moment only three are possible:facebook , myspace n twitter)
but also all your email accounts.

It’s not one of those apps which just tell you that you have received a message but also gives you the option to read,report spam , delete , mark as read and compose messages right there.Now that does make the job a hell lot easier specially if you juggle multiple email accounts , then instead of visiting all of them one by one you can get the job done right from digsby.

Another great feature which is very interesting is that you can get all your friends news feeds from myspace and facebook ,moreover it even allows for your twiitter feeds to show up and gives you the ability to send reply and update your twitter status from digsby itself without logging onto the site.(same goes for updating facebook status).

Last but not the least the feature that will interest you the most is that it is the only application at the moment which integrates the newly launched facebook chat into it..and yes that means you can chat with your online facebook friends without having to actually log onto the site..isn’t that amazing!..

For me this application has made life 10 times easier in terms of keeping upto date with my freinds and checking my mails…there are a hell lot of other application also like alerthingy , friendfeed , mysocial but none of them come even close to digsby in terms of features..so grab this wonderful app without any further delay.The link to their site and the download link has been provided here along with some screenshots.

Diff-mus vol.1 – Peterpan

Well I’m here with my first valid post…and guess what its related to music..lol..(sad one!)…i would like to introduce you all to an Indonesian band called peterpan…..they captured my attention about a months ago and they only play in their local language(i cant even pronounce a single word of whatever language they sing in) still as they say music breaks all barriers and this truly is one such case…no wonder they are Indonesia’s best band!

Their music is truly fantastic and at par with the best in the world ..you will understand that only after you hear them…the lead singer ariel has a magical voice and you cant call him anything short of magnificent , while the other members Ukie – guitars ,Loekman – guitars , Reza – drums are at their best to match up to ariel..I wont go on long telling you all about their achievements , history n stuff cause can find them at ….take a wild guess..yes you are right wikipedia ..lol…here is the link : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterpan_(band)

Their songs have a totally different feel for instance when you hear Menghapusn Jejakmu you realise how different they are and trust me when i say that the language does not matter …and the same goes for Menunggumu..just give them a try and I can asure you that you wont regret it…for your convenience i have added the links to the downloadable version of some of their tracks..

Maniac.?!?!?

Hey guys..i guess this blogging thingy has real gotten into me … until yesterday i didn’t even have a single blog of my own and today I’m managing two blogs( this being the second one).well i suppose it was true when people used to call blogging addictive and stuff . I do think I’m really late to catch onto it but i eventually made it ..lol

this blog is mainly aimed at music n tech stuff (so obvious with the heading)..I’m no maestro in music nor I’m a true tech geek but I’d like to pass on whatever scrap n bit i do know…lol..i know both of them depend a lot on the bloggers taste and what might appeal to one might be pure crap for the other..but ill try and keep it as universal as possible.(getting very preachy..lol)…

in music I’m really into rock n stuff so if you are a RnB or hip-hop lover u just might be disappointed ….i love experimenting with new kinds of music and discovering new artistes though my true inspiration will always be the classic rock icons including bob dylan , led zep  , guns n roses etc.

as far as tech stuff is concerned i find new startups trying to offer something different online and wanting ti make an impact very interesting….so you just might find some cool apps out here…(though i fear u might be knowing most of em…lol)..

anyways i guess a lot about myself…i know there are thousands of tech blogs and music blogs out there and I’m not even near them but this is just a personal venture and ill be more than happy if i can help a few and give them something new to listen to..!so watch-out for my next post..
